Survey on Spectral IP and Resistivity in Time Environment

With this electromagnetic method, which we can call resistivity measurement method together with artificial flight, rocks are charged by giving time variable current at low frequencies to the ground through two electrodes. Sulphurous metallic mines are well charged with this method because they can be easily separated from the surrounding rocks and their underground position can be mapped. Visible resistivity values are also recorded during IP measurement. In addition to IP sections, the preparation of resistivity sections also contributes to the evaluation of the studies in the field.

Today, it is recommended to use three-dimensional (3D) spectral IP studies to determine the underground structures in more detail.
Since the information obtained in two-dimensional studies is the results obtained along one direction, it is always possible to miss some important structural or tectonic details between the two profiles (depending on the profile range). In three-dimensional studies, the research area is explored as a block, so all lateral and vertical details can be monitored.

The use of spectral IP and resistivity raw values measured in the field without processing results in the solution of complex geological problems. A series of mathematical operations are performed on the measurements so that the measurements can be viewed as closely as possible to the reality of the underground structures. The most advanced of these applications is the reverse solution method, which allows the underground structures to be shown in the most appropriate way to the reality.

With this software;
